The property then consisted of a 79,159 SF office/warehouse building on 11 acres near Southlake Mall.
The property fronts I-75 and Mt. Zion Road.
Because of that, the access and visibility are excellent.
The property was zoned industrial, but a retail transformation was underway.
Southeast and its venture partner proceeded to rezone the property for retail use.
The original intent was to redevelop the property ourselves.
However, in 1998 the property was sold to Costco for redevelopment into a new store.
